At Malamulele Onward, we’re a passionate team working to improve the lives of children with cerebral palsy (CP) and the families who care for them. Our work focuses especially on rural communities, where access to therapy, equipment and support can be limited.
What makes our organisation unique is the people behind it. Our team includes therapists, parents of children with CP, and a young adult living with CP. Together with our board, we bring a wide range of perspectives, experiences and ideas to the work we do every day.
We believe that every child with CP — no matter where they live — deserves the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive. With the right support, therapy and environment, children can achieve meaningful progress that improves not only their own quality of life, but also that of their families.
In many rural areas, caregivers often feel isolated and may not have access to information or services that could help their children. At the same time, therapists in these areas may not always have the training or resources needed to support children with CP effectively.
That’s where we come in.
Our approach is child-centred and family-focused. We understand that supporting a child with CP means supporting the whole environment around them — their family, community and local health services. By strengthening these connections, we help create lasting, positive change.
We’re constantly learning from the children and families we work with. Their experiences guide us as we continue to improve our programmes and build sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
When you donate, you become part of a community that is changing lives. Your support helps provide therapy guidance, caregiver training, and essential resources for children living with cerebral palsy where services are often limited. Every contribution—big or small—helps a child gain more comfort, more independence, and more opportunity for the future. Together, we can make sure no child is left behind.
